Here are some more season previews: Philadelphia and Milwaukee.
Philadelphia 76ers
Lots of people say that the Sixers will do very well this season. I agree. Here's one of the major reasons: Elton Brand.
I know he's coming off an injured year, but we! all know what he can do {and did with the Clippers and Bulls} and he can lead this team to the Finals. He has Andre Iguodala, Andre Miller, Sam Dalembert, Willie Green, Kareem Rush, Donyell Marshall, and Lou Williams. They have a pretty good amount of talent. If they play hard enough, they can go all the way. If they don't play as good as they can push themselves to play, then they won't make it. But I don't think they won't push themselves. Brand, Rush, and Marshall didn't join this team to sit around and chuck up the ball. They came to Philadelphia to play. Watch this team play.
Predictions:
Record: 49-33
Points: Andre Iguodala 20.1
Rebounds: Elton Brand 10.3
Assists: Andre Miller 7.4
New York Knicks
Stephon Marbury said he is willing to play at point guard for the Knicks this year. Hopefully he plays well. They have gotten rid of Isiah Thomas. I think that will start him up. Also, David Le! e looks pretty good, and Eddy Curry said he would try not to b! e as laz y as he was last season. So their lineup looks something like this:
Center: Eddy Curry
Power Forward: David Lee
Small Forward: Danilo Gallinari {maybe}
Shooting Guard: Jamal Crawford
Point Guard: Stephon Marbury?
That's what I'm thinking right now. Actually, I think the Grizzlies pulled out of the Zach Randolph trade. So he might be back, too. They'll do better than last year under Mike D'Antoni, but they still won't be that great.
Predictions:
Record: 35-47
Points: Jamal Crawford 21.0
Rebounds: David Lee 9.3
Assists: Stephon Marbury 6.5
Milwaukee Bucks
They look a ton better since adding Richard Jefferson and Joe Alexander. Even though they lost Chinese star Yi Jianlian, they still look like a better team. Andrew Bogut, Charlie Villanueva, Richard Jefferson, Michael Redd, Luke Ridnour.... not a bad ! lineup. And then have Alexander be the 6th man. That's pretty dang good. I think they might make it to the playoffs this year. But they'll be like 3rd or 4th in their division because there is also Cleveland, Detroit, and Chicago. But the Bucks still could be pretty vicious until they get knocked out of the first round of the playoffs. {Just kidding.} They'll put up a fight against other teams. Don't be too intimidated by them unless they make a really good run at the start of the season.
Predictions:
Record: 45-37
Points: Richard Jefferson/Michael Redd 21.6
Rebounds: Andrew Bogut 9.7
Assists: Luke Ridnour 8.5
